We
encourage our customers to use our in-house FTP server for uploading large
files to our prepress department. Please contact your Aspen representative
or call the prepress department for the current FTP login information.
Here
are some tips and guidelines for use of our in-house FTP server:
|
|
|
|
|
| |
Create
a single archive file for uploading:
Please save all files to be sent into a single folder and use
either Stuffit on the Macintosh (.sit) or WinZip in Windows (.zip)
to create a single compressed archive of the files to be sent.
|
| |
Notify
prepress by phone or e-mail:
Please call or e-mail prepress@aspengraphics.net
once the file is uploaded to let us know they are there. |
| |
Include
all graphics and fonts:
Be sure you include all photos, graphics and fonts used in the final
layout. Use the Collect for Output feature in Quark Xpress
or the Save Files for Remote Printing when using PageMaker.
|
| |
Create
an Acrobat PDF for comparison:
Since we generally do not get lasers for jobs uploaded to our FTP
server, it is a good idea to create a PDF file for us to compare to.
If you do not have Adobe Acrobat, please fax black & white lasers
to us at (303) 371-2444.
