Digital Color Proofing
Conventional dot proofs have been the standard for years. That standard now has changed. With the advent of direct to plate imaging systems, new ways of proofing have been introduced. Our proofs come from an Epson 10000 Pro printer. There are no halftone dots, but our color proofs are more true to the final printed piece than any conventional proof ever was.

 

The key is ou digital color calibration system. We print a test page with 840 individual color swatches. That page is read into our computer and saved as a digital profile of our press. The same is done with the proofer. Our software then matches the two profiles to shift the color to accurately prepresent the final output.
